Bassenthwaite Wedding

Karen and Jonathan got married on probably the wettest day of the year. But to be honest, I don't think anyone even noticed and it certainly didn't stop us getting outside and using the stunning backdrop of Bassenthwaite Lake for some of their photos. They got married at St Michaels Church in Torpenhow. A church steeped in history that dates back to the 12th century. It was my first visit to this church and I was staggered by the beauty of the interior, it really felt like stepping back in time!

Karen chose peonies (my favourites) to decorate the church and reception room at the Embleton Spa Hotel a fantastic venue with some awesome views!
